The Fabric of Langley is a Housing Market Renewal funded project taking place on the Langley estate in Middleton led by Cartwheel Arts. |

A very successful and enjoyable project with workshops running from January to the end of March.
Cartwheel Arts have been working with groups of children, young people and adults at different venues across the estate. |
Working with professional artist Jo Gornall, the participants have been learning new textile based skills, photography and computer imaging to add to their work.
The starting point for all work produced is the participants first memories of Langley, what they think was there before the estate was built, what’s good about the work that’s happening on the estate now and what they’d like to see in the future. |

All work produced has come together to create a large wall hanging which will tour the estate venues and hopefully find a permanent home on the estate for all to see.
A celebration event at the end of March brought all participants together to see the finished work and celebrate their achievements. |
